Getting started
Tee Time Snipe is a service that helps golfers secure tee times at popular courses. We continuously monitor golf course booking systems for tee time cancellations and immediately notify you when a spot opens up, so you can book it before anyone else. At supported courses, you can also turn on Book It and have us reserve the tee time for you automatically.
Our service works in four simple steps:
- You tell us where (golf course), when (date), what times (e.g., 7am - 12pm), and how many players want to play.
- We continuously track the tee times from the course you selected.
- The second we see a match, we text or email you with the slot that opened up.
- You quickly jump in and reserve it — or, if the course supports Book It and you've enabled it, we reserve it for you automatically and tell you it's done.
Golf courses often allocate blocks of tee times to golf clubs, large groups, leagues, and local schools. These reservations sometimes go unused and result in no-shows, leaving individual golfers unable to play. Our service helps you take advantage of cancellations and last-minute openings.
We support golf courses throughout the US and Canada that have online booking services. If you don't see your preferred course in our system, you can click "Add Course" and we'll try to add it to our database.
Yes. Tee Time Snipe is available as an iOS app for iPhone and iPad, and as a web application that works in any browser on any device, including Android phones. We don't have a native Android app yet.
Alerts & snipe requests
You can choose to receive notifications via email, text message (SMS), or both, depending on your preference. Text alerts are optional — you can use the service with email only. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to any text to opt out.
Once we find a tee time that matches your criteria, we send you one alert and stop checking for that particular request. If you were unable to reserve the tee time, you'll need to start another snipe request.
With Book It enabled, we attempt the booking instead and then message you with the result — either a confirmation or a note that the attempt didn't succeed.
Your snipe request stays active until you delete it or until it reaches the ending time of the date you selected. After that, it will be automatically removed from our system.
Yes, log into your account and go to the Monitoring page.
Click the red "x" icon on the right to delete a request.
Click the blue pencil icon on the right to edit a request.
If your plans change and you have Book It turned on, delete the request right away — otherwise we may successfully book a tee time you no longer want.
Yes, you can specify exactly which course you want to play at. Our service is designed to help you get tee times at specific courses of your choice.
Most golfers are time restricted but flexible about which local course they play. Our "Scan 3 Courses" feature allows you to create 3 concurrent scans that monitor different courses at the same time. You can then book the first one that opens up.
No, there is no "queue" for snipe requests. Our system continuously scans for openings that match your criteria, and alerts are sent as soon as a matching tee time becomes available.
No. While our service is effective, nothing is guaranteed. Cancellations happen frequently, but availability varies by course and season. We monitor tee times and notify members when openings occur, but securing the reservation is still dependent on how quickly you respond to notifications.
Book It improves your odds by removing the race to your phone, but it doesn't guarantee a tee time either — another golfer may take the slot first, and some booking attempts fail. Your subscription pays for the monitoring, not for a particular tee time.
Book It: automated booking
Book It is an optional feature that reserves the tee time for you automatically when a match opens up, instead of just alerting you. There's no need to race to your phone.
Book It is off unless you turn it on, and it isn't available at every course. If you never enable it, the service works exactly as it always has: we watch, and you book.
Open your account settings on app.teetimesnipe.com, connect the golf course account you book with, and enable Book It. You can then switch it on for individual snipe requests.
No. Book It works only at courses we support, and that's a smaller list than the courses we can monitor for alerts. Whether we can book at a course depends on how its booking system works and on what the course allows.
The Service shows you whether Book It is offered for a course, so check there before you count on it. The supported list changes over time — we add courses as we're able to, and occasionally have to withdraw one, including a course you're already monitoring.
Where Book It isn't available, everything else still works normally: we watch the course and alert you the moment a matching time opens, and you book it yourself.
Golf courses require you to be signed in to reserve a tee time, so Book It can only work if we can sign in as you. When you enable it, you're authorizing us to act as your agent for the limited purpose of placing the bookings you've configured.
Your credentials are stored encrypted, are used only to place tee time reservations you asked for, and are never sold or used for advertising. You can remove them at any time, and they're deleted when you delete your account. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy and Terms.
If you'd rather not share a course login, don't enable Book It — alerts work without it.
You do. A reservation made through Book It is placed in your name, in your golf course account, and the reservation is between you and the course. We never collect green fees, cart fees, or any other amount owed to a course — your subscription only pays for the monitoring and booking software.
Cancel it directly with the golf course, under that course's policy and before that course's deadline. We can't cancel it for you, and a Tee Time Snipe subscription doesn't waive a course's cancellation or no-show fees.
You are responsible for any cancellation fee, late-cancellation fee, or no-show penalty the course charges. The best way to avoid this is to delete or disable a snipe request as soon as your plans change.
Yes. We'll let you know when one does. The most common reasons are:
- Another golfer took the slot first;
- The password we have for your course account is out of date;
- You turned on two-factor authentication at the course;
- The course requires a deposit or prepayment we can't complete;
- Your course account is restricted or has reached its booking limit;
- The course changed or took down its booking system.
Book It will stop working for that course until you update the credentials in your account settings. We'll notify you when a booking attempt fails for this reason, but we won't be able to book in the meantime, so update it as soon as you can.
Possibly. Some courses and booking platforms restrict automated access, cap how many reservations you can hold, or take action against accounts they believe are using automation. You're responsible for the terms of your own golf course account, and for making sure you're allowed to authorize a third party to book on your behalf.
If a course restricts or closes your account, we're not able to intervene, and we can't refund a subscription for that reason. See Section 7 of our Terms.
Go to your account settings and either disable Book It or remove the stored course credentials. Removing them turns Book It off for every request that relied on them, and we delete them. They're also deleted if you delete your Tee Time Snipe account.
Turning Book It off applies going forward — it doesn't undo a reservation that has already been placed.
Plans & billing
The plan you choose depends on your golfing habits and needs. If you frequently play at different courses, a plan with more concurrent scans might be beneficial. If you mainly play at one specific course, a basic plan could be sufficient.
Yes, you can upgrade your plan at any time to access additional features and benefits.
Cancel through whichever channel you signed up with. Cancelling stops future renewals; your plan stays active through the end of the period you've already paid for.
For web users
Click "Billing" menu on top right and follow the instructions.
